Scientific Reason Behind Visiting The Temple.

  


We have a hundreds of temples with the mesmerizing architecture all over the world. The Hindu culture has encouraged aesthetic independents to temple builders increasing expression by adopting perfect geometry and some mathematical principles in Mandir construction to express the way of life how Hindu people leads.


1. Why do people leave their footwear while entering the temple?



In the present day, the temples are believed to be the places for praying. But in ancient times, the temples were built not only for praying but as a vortex of energy, containing pure vibrations of magnetic and electric fields with positive energy. During those days the floor at center of the temple were good conductors of these positive vibration which allows them to pass through feet to the body. This is the reason why we are not allowed to wear footwear into the temple.

We use chappal or shoe every where which tend to contain many germs, dirt or other impurities which spoils the environment of the temple. This is the other reason why we are not allowed to wear footwear while entering the temple.

 

2. Why ring Bells at the entrance of the Temple?

 


Hindu temples usually do have metal bell at the entrance as a sign of ritual. Ringing bells after entering the temple does keep your mind calm and peace. The moment we ring the bell it produces a sharp gentle sound which lasts for at least 7-8 seconds in echo mode which activates all the sensations in our body. This results in confiscating all the negative thoughts from your brain.

Many would have noticed that ancient temples won’t be having any doors or windows. Well we can say that the bells are the other reason why temples don’t have doors and windows. Ringing the bells keep the wild creatures or insects away from entering the temple.

 

3. Why do we offer Flowers to the God at temple?

 


Offering flower to god indicates devotion or loyalty one have for his lord. It is believed that pleasing a god by flowers makes a deity to please the devotee with happiness, prosperity and good wealth. The other reason is that the flowers being very soft to touch, the fragrance of the flower which in combination keeps your mind calm and peace.

4. Why do we perform Pradakshina around the temple?

 


Pradakshina is the circumambulation of sacred place to imbibe their energy in Hindu and Bhuddist religion. The lord is the center, source and essence of our lives. By performing pradakshina we recognize the lord as the focal point of our lives and go about doing about our daily cores. We perform this in a clockwise direction as we believe that the lord is always on our right side.

 

5. Why do we offer Coconut and Banana to god?

 



‘Coconut’ and ‘Banana’ are considered to be the most Sacred Fruits which can be offered to the god. Since coconut and banana cannot grow from the seeds thrown after eaten by people, they are considered as a purest fruit which can be offered to god in the most purest form.
